We often hear the antichrist is a man of peace, at least when he is initially on the scene, but no Bible verse says he is a man of peace.

The antichrist confirms or strengthens a covenant and then the 7 years begin. The Bible is silent on what he is doing during the first half of the 7 years.

We know he is a man of war during the 42 months, but no verse tells us what he is doing during the first half of the 7 years, peaceful or otherwise.

Also, the Bible tells us he has his end-times power and authority for 42 months; he does not have this power and authority for 7 years.
