A Command to Pray

Jesus said, “Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the son of Man.” Luke 21:36

When the Greek New Testament uses the second person (“you”), it means the person or persons (or class of persons) being addressed. Second person does not mean people in general as it sometimes does in English.

When Jesus says it to his disciples, he says it to us. If we are a follower, he also said it to us!

Are you currently praying that you (and your family) may be able to escape all that is about to happen? We are.
